Another recognition was given to the castle “In love in the wind” in Ravadinovo. The Bulgarian landmark ranked 3rd in Europe among the best and most beautiful castles to visit the Old Continent in the ranking European Best Destinations. Before the Bulgarian attraction are only Pena Palace in Sintra, Portugal and the palace-fortress of the Spanish kings Alcazar in Segovia.
On the other hand, “In Love in the Wind”, the only new castle in Europe, overtakes one of the most famous fortresses of the Old Continent, built as a stage for the works of the composer Wagner – Neuschwanstein. The image of the German castle has long been used stylized as the emblem of the film company Walt Disney. The castle in Ravadinovo is a scene for one of their films.
In the fairytale castle, built 3 kilometers from Sozopol, the “Sleeping Beauty” movie is filmed in 2013. After “In love with the Wind” the European rankings are characterized by castles and palaces in Germany, France, Wales, Scotland, Romania, Austria and even Castle Windsor in England. The castle is built by the businessmen Georgi Tumpalov.
To celebrate the importance of the prize in the Bulgarian Castle on 22 August, the President of European Best Destinations will be personally present. In Ravadinovo he will attend a round table on the contribution of tourist attractions to the sustainable development and prosperity of the regions in the EU.
In the castle business, local authorities and representatives of the state will discuss the role of municipalities and the state in the creation of new tourism products, the opportunities for cooperation between private business and state structures. As well as the opportunities for European financing of private tourist attractions in Bulgaria. The entrance to the Ravadinovo Castle is 20 leva /approximately 10 euro/ and the visit time is unlimited.
Just three weeks ago, the biggest aqua park in Bulgaria – “Neptune” – opened in the vicinity of the castle. Here you can enjoy 14 types of water attractions. These include a whirlwind with intermittent slides and a kamikaze – a nearly seamless slide that is suitable for adrenaline lovers.
The Aqua Park is open to visitors from 10 a.m. to 6.30pm. The all-day adult ticket costs 38 leva /approximately 19 euro/ and if you enter after 02.30 p.m. the price is 30 leva /approximately 15 euro/. Children who are between 90 and 130 cm of height pay 20 BGN for a full day /approximately 10 euro/ and 10 BGN after 02.30 p.m. /approximately 5 euro/. Those less than 90 centimeters of height can have fun at the Neptune Aqua park for free. Anyone who buys an aqua park ticket can then visit the castle “In love with the wind” with a 20% discount on the ticket price.
