Albena is the new tennis capital of Bulgaria
Albena AD and the Bulgarian Tennis Federation signed a three-year contract for collaboration. The term of the agreement is until the end of 2015. The Tennis Federation undertakes to promote the resort in Europe as a good tennis destination.
From August 30 to September 1 Albena organizes the children tournament in Bulgaria, with very strong participation, in which regularly take part also players from abroad. From September 30 to October 7 the resort will become part of the word tennis map hosting the international tennis tournament for women “Albena open”, with prize fund of 10 000 dollars. The tournament brings participants points for the world rankings. In October there will be a conference of the coaches. The contract specifies that in the next two years the holiday resort will host the state single championships for players at the age of 12, 14, 16 and 18, there will be also tennis camps organized, as well as international tennis tournaments for children, men and women.
Albena resort has 13 courts, 6 of which are renovated and ready for not only professional tennis matches, but also for games, played by the lovers of this aristocratic sport. The other seven courts will be ready for next season. Albena AD plans the construction of the tennis site with 10 courts to begin in 2014, and a new modern tennis center in the resort to be completed as late as the year 2015.
In cooperation with the partners Dreisam Tennis Academy from Freiburg have been designed special tennis packages for 2014 which will allow guests to combine their holiday with a match on professional level tennis courts.
