Another recognition for the SPA tourism in Bulgaria
In Hisar, at Hisarya Balneo Complex, on May 28 and May 29 was held the first annual congress of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and SPA. The slogan of the event was “Balneo and SPA tourism – a strategic potential of Bulgaria.” Partners of the congress were the MEE, Hisar Municipality and ESPA – the European Spa Association.
The topics of present interest included and discussed in the program were related to Balneology and SPA tourism in Bulgaria: the promotion of our country, the selection and training of specialized personnel in the field of Medical and Spa, innovations and trends for the improvement of the services offered, development strategies for Bulgaria as a tourist destination through specialized tourism and SPA products.
A special guest of the event was the Vice President of ESPA Mrs. Urgita Kazlauskiene. She gladly noted that of the six awards ESPA gave this year, four have gone to participants from our country. The most Innovative Municipality – Pomorie Municipality has been awarded for its innovative combination of SPA tourism and modern art. At Pomorie Grand Hotel twice a year are held international salons of contemporary art.
