The new distinguishing numbers are intended to remove the possibility of duplicating identical names of sites in tourism. The new identification mark will be introduced with a change in the Tourism Act. The amendments to the normative act are expected to regulate the status of the national resorts, thus solving the problems of financing and maintenance of the activities in them.

The final texts of the new law will be posted on the Ministry of Tourism website within two weeks. All interested parties will be able to submit their proposals for amendment of the texts within one month before the normative act is submitted for discussion by the Council of Ministers.

The classification regulation foresees changes to the requirements for hotel stars. 4 and 5-star sites will no longer have a minimum room cubicity, but will only have to meet room floor square meters requirements. In addition, there will be no requirement for air conditioning in mountain hotels, and accommodation will choose whether to have an exchange currency office.

I love history, to walk through old cobblestone streets, to smell the air of the past times and to feel the legends in the air. And I'm lucky to have been born in a country with a glorious past and a lot of stories to tell. Bulgaria was founded more than 1,300 years ago and has never changed its name. But the life of people, their everyday habits, their traditions, their music and their art have changed over the centuries. I invite you to take a walk through the different ages of Bulgaria and to get to know it better.
