For the next year in the Rhodope village of Gela will be attractive competition between amateurs and professional bagpipers. The festival traditionally brings together the lovers of the beautiful Bulgarian nature and the fans of the traditions. This year the festival will be held on August 3rd and 4th.

The opening of the bagpipe launch is from 10.30 am on August 3rd. The competition program will start at 11 am and the winners will be awarded at 6 pm. Naturally, the evening will continue with a party accompanied by the Bulgarian folk rhythms. The celebration will also continue on Sunday, when from 11.30 am there will be a meeting of the families whose roots are from the village of Gela in the Rhodopes.

The participants, as each year, are divided into three age groups. The youngest masters of the folk instrument up to 14 years will be able to complete a free program of up to 5 minutes. Young people between the ages of 15 and 20 will have to present themselves with a slow and fast melody. They will have 6 minutes. Musicians over the age of 21 will also perform a fast and slow tune, but will have seven minutes.
