Balneology and Spa Tourism Innovation Awards
On March 26, 2014 a nine-member jury decided the winners of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism Innovation Awards in the field of Medical SPA and SPA tourism.
The judges panel included Stefan Sharlopov, Chairman of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism, Branimir Botev, Deputy Minister of Economy and Energy, Blagoy Ragin, Chairman of BHRA, Penka Ganeva, Mayor of Hisarya, Maxim Minchev, BTA Director-General, Nelly Zlateva, TV 7, Iliya Paskov, Vice President of BUBSPA, Mariana Dobreva, member of BUBSPA‘s board of directors and Dr. Tatyana Angelova, expert at BUBSPA. The Innovation Awards of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism are an annual contest which awards the best innovations and supports the creative thinking and management in the field of Medical SPA and SPA business. The awards are an overview of the latest technologies and products related to the management, software and design, being implemented in Medical SPA and SPA hotels. The aim of the awards is the exchange of know-how and good practices between members of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism. The categories are selected so as to reflect, as precisely as possible, the development of SPA business in Bulgaria. The winners are automatically eligible to apply for the European innovation awards given by the European Spas Association. The first ceremony of the Innovation Awards of the Bulgarian Union of Balneology and Spa Tourism will be held within the First Annual Congress of the Union, which will take place from May 28 to May 29, 2014 in the town of Hisarya.
