On October 5, the most famous Bulgarian mountain and ski resort of Bansko celebrate its holiday. So the municipality has prepared a rich program. At 03.30 p.m. begins „ Bansko Children’s Sports and Fun” sporting event at the “St. Peter” stadium. On October 3rd in the big salon of the Nikola Vaptsarov Community Center, everyone will be able to enjoy the folklore show “The Colors of Time”.
On October 4th, the exhibition “We Are Worthy to Laurel” will be presented at the House of Arts, organized by the Museum Complex – Bansko, the National Literary Museum and the Historical Museum – Radomir. Throughout the day of the holiday of the mountain resort, everyone will be able to visit the municipal museums completely free of charge. The doors will be open from 9.30 a.m. to 5.30 p.m. on October 5.
At 9 o’clock a liturgy for the celebration of the city will be held in the church of the Holy Trinity, which was consecrated in 1835. At 10 a.m., wreaths and flowers will be put on the monuments in the municipality, and half an hour later the citizens and the guests of Bansko will remember the heroes who have sacrificed for the freedom of the country and the resort.
At 11 o’clock at the Belizma dam there will be a children’s fishing tournament, and from 11.30 a.m. to 5 p.m. the youngest will also be able to watch a children’s movies at the Visitor Information Center. The culmination of the holiday is at 6 p.m. on the main square of the city. At that time begins a concert of the beloved Bulgarian singer Grafa. The evening will end with a festive firework.
