Three world-famous pianists will warm up the audience for the biggest summer event in Bansko – the International Jazz Festival. On August 3rd, lucky buyers will be able to hear Axel Zwingenberger (Germany), Kayito Saito (Japan) and La Diva (Switzerland) at the Nikola Vaptsarov Chitalishte. The organizers promise lots of dances, crazy boogie-rhythms and good mood.
On the square in the city completely free from 4th to 11th August, you will be able to enjoy the music of Bulgarian and world-famous musicians every night. The festival will open the singer Petya Bouyuklieva along with Big Band Blagoevgrad and the young singer Vesela Morova. The first night will continue with the Italian singer Chiara Pancaldi and the Bulgarian band – „Dirty Purchase”.
On the 5th, music connoisseurs will be able to hear the Serbian Big Band Nishville with conductor Vladan Karadzhov, Rumen Alexandrov band – Bulgaria and Jazzbones (Germany). On August 6th, the evening will open the project “Indigo Kids” by Yavor Velchev-Java. The program also includes Nadia Toncheva and Quartet “Latino Jazz Project”, as well as one of the best jazz ensembles of Russia – Uralskiy Dixieland from Chelyabinsk.
On August 7, the audience in Bansko will be able to enjoy Ethnic Trans Duo (Switzerland, Russia), GERDBAND (Germany) and the general performance of Vassil Petrov and Angel Zabersky Trio. On August 8th on the stage in the mountain resort will play Alexandrina Simeon Quintet And Benny Brown, Li Xiaochuan Quintet(China), The David Dower Trio (UK) and The Jive Aces (UK).
On August 9th, the evening will open the NATO Jazz Combo from Belgium. The program included the phenomenal alt saxophonist Dmitry Baevski, born in St. Petersburg with his quartet from the USA, Kamelia Todorova together with Stanislav Abadzhiev Trio and the virtuosos of the hot rhythms The Gipsy King by Paco Baliardo (France).
On August 10, you can hear the Hungarians from Balázs Bágyi New Quartet feat. Kriszta Pocsai, the daughter of legend Nina Simon – Lisa and Matt Bianco from the UK. On the last evening, the festival will feature The Juke Joint Royals from Austria, Omar Hakim and Rachel Z “OZ Experience” from the United States and Ruth Koleva’s band.
