A new European ranking has defined the Bulgarian winter resort Bansko as the most advantageous ski destination in Europe. Data on the preferences of tourists from the Old Continent are based on an analysis of customer interests in one of the largest tourist search engines. A 4-member family can rest in the native resort for a week against a modest sum of 450 euros or under 900 leva. However, this amount does not include the necessary means of using the lift, the additional costs for drinks and food near the slopes, and the rental of ski equipment.
At the same time, the most expensive ski holiday in Europe is in Switzerland. The same number of tourists for a 7-day break will have to pay at resorts on average 2706 euros or almost 8 times more expensive. Bansko is now defined as the new winter Ibiza on the continent. The place is suitable for families as well as for young people because of the year-round festive mood, low prices of the beverages and food, which are of high quality and cheap entry fees for nightclubs.
