Bansko again is as the top places in prestigious ranking. This year, the winter resort was chosen as one of the top 10 global destinations for winter tourism. The ranking of the National Geographic magazine recommends the best places for winter holiday in 2017. Bansko is chosen because it is the perfect place for mountain holiday and winter sports.
The 9 other destinations that the magazine recommends are not for skiers. These are Galle / Sri Lanka /, Tucson / USA / , St. Petersburg / Russia / , Quebec / Canada /, Archipelago Bocas del Toro / Panama /, Marrakech / Morocco / , Saigon / Vietnam /, Aarhus / Denmark / and Tonga.
Today is the official opening of the season in Bansko. The prices of the ski passes at the resort will remain unchanged.
The one-day card at the resort again will cost 58 lev for adults / approximately 29 euro /for adults. Students will pay 53 lev / approximately 26 euro / and youngsters from 7 to 12 years – 49 lev / approximately 24 euro /. The price for Half-day card that can be used after 12.30 pm will cost 45 lev for adults /approximately 22 euro/.
The resort has 75 kilometers of marked slopes and ski routes, of which 35% are for beginners, 40% for intermediates and 25% for advanced skiers.
