On April 1 will reopen for visitors the park for dancing bears in Belitsa. The guided tours begin every half hour from 12 a.m. to 06:00 p.m. In August the visiting time is extended and the park is open from 10 a.m. to 06:00 p.m with a lunch break between 12 a.m. and 01:00 p.m. 28 bears that inhabit park are now waking up after a long winter hibernation.
The first hundred children who visit the park will receive gifts. Children under 7 years enter into the kingdom of the bears for free. Elder children pay an entry ticket of 3 leva /1,5 euro/ and adults – 6 leva or approximately 3 euro. For organized groups there is a discount and the price for adults becomes is 4 leva /2 euro/ for adults and for children – 1 lev or 50 euro cents.
The park is located in area Andrianov Chark and is situated 12 km away from the city of Belica and 180 km from the capital Sofia. The territory of the bears stretches on 120,000 square meters. Among the initiators for building the park of his French actress Bridgit Bardo. Most of the bears were so-called dancing bears – trained to entertain in captivity. Now they are saved and enjoy a life in the open air.
