The Bike Race and Run for Chepun this year will be held on the Earth Day – April 22. The idea of the organizers is the race to show that taking care of nature is both responsibility and joy. At 8 a.m. the participants will meet in the Dragoman municipality. Half an hour later, the race in the courses of running and cycling begins. The small route has a length of 21.3 km and the longer road is 42 km.
In Pernik, Earth Day will be celebrated with a photographic exhibition “The Choice Is Yours”, which aims to make more people think about where they throw their garbage. Then millions of North Americans demonstrate a desire to change nature in environmental protection. Twenty years later, the day became international, and Bulgaria took part in marking it in 1993.
