The Bulgarian beach Bolata was ranked among the best holiday destinations in Europe by the European Best Destinations site. Bolata near Kavarna occupies the honorable 16th place in the list, although in our opinion we are superior to some of our rivals, ranked in the foreground. The strip is a favorite not only for beach lovers but also for party lovers during the summer, as the natural protection of the bay protects it from the wind and is suitable even for outdoor sleeping.

Bolata is the only reserve in Bulgaria that includes part of the sea itself. In the past, the area was forbidden to visit because it was within a military zone. A small river runs through the bay, entering the sea, and there are many caves in the rocks around. The bay is also known as an excellent diving spot.
The first place on the site is occupied by one of Croatia’s few sandy beaches, Passachi, which is about half an hour’s drive from Dubrovnik. The second place is the Spanish Nerja in Andalusia, and the third Nugal, again in Croatia. Before the Bulgarian jewel, there are still stripes in the UK, Montenegro, Spain, France, Italy and Romania.
