Borovets will open the ski season 2014/2015 on December 13th

Borovets is ready to welcome the skiers and the fans of the mountain in winter. The mountain resort  is preparing to ensure a strong winter experience and will open the upcoming ski season with twice as many tracks equipped with facilities for artificial snow cover. With twice as many snow cannons – 160 in number, excellent quality cover will be ensured on about two-thirds of the area of the resort. Not only the skiing center “Yastrebets”, but the skiing center “Sitnyakovo” too has tools for high-quality artificial snow for all the tracks. Thus Borovets will provide for all skiers and snowboarders greater comfort, to spend more time and to experience pleasure on the slopes. The resort provides excellent opportunities for night skiing, too. This Season two more tracks – “Sitnyakovo 4” and “Rotata” – and the bottom of the ski path “Sitnyakovo” will be illuminated in the evening and the length of the slopes with artificial lighting will be twice longer. If you prefer night skiing along known routes, the ski runs “Sitnyakovo 1, 2 and 3”, “Rila” and “Iglika” will be lit from 18.00 to 22.00. Perfect conditions for freestyle entertainment are provided in Snow Park Borosport in the upper part of the ski track “Popangelov” and in Promo Park Borovets opposite Hotel “Rila”. The official opening of the season will be on December 13th, Saturday. At the same time, the resort will host the European Cross Country Championship – one of the four top races in the calendar of the European Athletic Association.
