Bulgaria is the most preferred destination for a family holiday among Russian tourists. This became clear in a poll conducted online from National Geographic Traveler magazine. Bulgaria is voted ahead of Croatia, Greece, Montenegro and even Russia itself. Almost 60 countries participated as choices in the competition.
The competition was held for the sixth consecutive year, and the category family holiday is only one of all 23.
The reasons Bulgaria is among the favorite destinations of Russians are few. Among them are the good conditions in the Bulgarian summer and winter resorts, affordability, the delicious food, the climate and the availability to explore different cultural, historical and natural attractions.
