Bulgaria is ready to welcome foreign tourists as a safe tourist destination and that it will be extremely happy if more Iraqis take advantage of the traditional Bulgarian hospitality. This was stated by the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism Mariyana Nikolova at a working meeting with HE Lina Omar, Ambassador of Iraq to Bulgaria. The two countries have a long tradition of fruitful economic and cultural cooperation and both are among the most ancient civilizations in the world, Nikolova said. She stressed that this fact can be a solid basis for cooperation in the field of tourism.
Bulgaria is a wonderful country and I would like all Iraqis to visit it, said HE Lina Omar. She invited the Deputy Prime Minister to visit Iraq and said that the high-level visit would contribute to increasing the dynamics in relations between the two countries. According to her, the organization of a business forum, as well as bilateral trips of companies from different sectors would have a positive impact. Ambassador Omar informed that exhibitions are being held in Iraq in various fields, and invited Bulgarian business to participate.
