Burgas Airport is once again open to flights after a two-month major renovation. “Fraport Twin Star Eurport Management” invested in the renovation of the airport 12 million lev /approximately 6 million euro/. Two of the tarmac were renovated. The first passengers that will land on the airport will be from Domodedovo Airport in Moscow.They land on December 31.
The line between Moscow and Burgas will be served each day of the week without Thursday until January 11. After that the planes will fly between the two cities five times per a week.
From 3rd of January “Wizz Air” will serve flights between the seaside town and Luton Airport in the British capital London three times per a week.
The extensive repairs of the Burgas airport will continue with the ongoing reconstruction of one of the tracks and the replacement of the management and control of lighting. For the implementation of project activities were hired 200 workers. The repairs will be completed before the summer.
