By the end of September, you can visit the tenth edition of the unique Sand Sculpture Festival in Burgas. On the occasion of the jubilee, you will be able to see reworked masterpieces from the past years of the event. The sandy city this year consists of 50 characters, created by 21 artists from Bulgaria, Turkey, Germany, Russia, the Czech Republic, Poland, Ukraine, Latvia, and Portugal.
About 5,600 tons of sand is used to make the perishable figures. Again, you can admire the renowned Einstein’s most famous genius photo with a tongue of exultation. To feel the true love, independent of the appearance you have to take a look at the sculpture of Beauty and the Beast. Cake for the 10th birthday of the festival and fabulous castle are just some of the other works you can explore.
The festival can be visited every day from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. in the Lake Park near the Horse Riding Center in Burgas. The prices of the tickets this year are unchanged. 3.5 leva or around 1.7 euro cost the entrance fee to the fairytale world of the festival. As a part of a group, you will pay 2.5 leva or 1.2 euro for a ticket and the entrance for students cost 1.5 leva or around 70 euro cents. Free of charge can see the sculptures, children under the age of 7 and disadvantaged people. Last year the festival was visited by 117,000 people.
