Another world recognition was given to the castle “In love with the wind” in Ravadinovo. The Bulgarian attraction was awarded a golden prize in a competition whose winners were made clear during the ITB China International Tourism Fair in Shanghai. To capture the greatest honors in one of the five categories, the landmark has surpassed 300,000 competitors from all over the world.
The Ravadinovo Castle is a winner in the category “Service Quality” in the CTV Chinese Tourist Welcome Awards 2017. Much of competitors of the Bulgarian attraction were multi-million-dollar corporations and state-owned organizations. In the second place after “In love with the wind” remained the Royal Museums Greenwich, which is located in the capital of Great Britain London.
Among the winners in the other categories are multi-million-dollar organizations such as the world-renowned Bintan Resort in Singapore, the Sharjah National Tourism Board of the United Arab Emirates and the Los Angeles Tourist Congress Center. Other lucrative and renowned attractions such as Madame Tussauds’ Wax Museum have even remained out of the charts.
The owner of the castle Georgi Tumpalov will receive the gold prize on June 3rd in Sozopol during the official opening of the summer tourist season there. The prize will give the director of the International Tourism Institute – China. The ceremony will be attended by the Bulgarian minister of tourism Nikolina Angelkova, as well as representatives of the Embassy of China in Bulgaria and the municipality of Sozopol, whose district is Ravadinovo. It is expected that the celebration of the high honors will continue in the Castle.
