Artists from 4 to 16 years of age can participate in the National Children’s Drawing Contest on “Wild Peonies”. The competition is organized by the Association of Parks in Bulgaria, the National Hristo Botev 1934 Community Center of the town of Bozhurishte and the Bulgarian Biodiversity Foundation. The aim is to familiarize the children with the value of wild peonies as a protected species and to promote the cause of preserving the beautiful flowers between Bozhurishte and Voluyak.
Children will be divided into groups from 4 to 7 years, from 8 to 12 years and from 13 to 16 years. Everyone can participate with up to 2 drawings, painted on 35/50 cm cardboard, materials and equipment of choice. For children, up to 7 years old size of the A4 drawings is allowed. On the back should be written the artist’s three names, age, school, address, teacher contact telephone.
The winners will be chosen by a competent jury of professional artists and audiences and the awards will be announced on May 22 during the Wild Peony Day and the International Day of Biodiversity at the Bozhurishte Chitalishte at 1 pm. All the drawings of the participants will be exhibited in the Community centre.
