Every Wednesday and Friday, direct flights will connect the Bulgarian capital Sofia and the Ukrainian Black Sea city Odessa. They will be implemented by the Bulgarian national carrier “Bulgaria Air”. Thus, the Bessarabian Bulgarians, who want to work in the tourist or another sector, will be able to save their long hours of traveling by bus or by taking several airplanes to reach Bulgaria.

The initiative to open the flights is to Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov, Finance Minister Vladislav Goranov and Transport Ivaylo Moskovski. That is why on December 22, 2017, together with a delegation from the National Assembly, they are passengers on the first flight along the route. At the same time, the Bulgarians will be able to see the pearl of the Ukrainian Black Sea coast more easily, taste the delicious local cuisine, vodka with horseradish, and explore the museums and sights of the city.
