The feast of the colourful salt will be held for the 6th consecutive year in the Panagyurish village of Bata. The gathering will bring producers and fans of the mixed spice from all over the country. The glory of the colourful salt, which gathers different flavors in an indivisible whole, spreads across the world from Bulgarian emigrants, the organizers say. It is also mandatory for the Bulgarian table and should, therefore, be appreciated and celebrated.
The festival has a culinary section and an accompanying program with folk songs and dances. The beginning is on August 19 at 10.30 a.m. in the main square in the village. Participants who want to capture visitors tastefully will be presented in the categories: the most delicious and beautifully presented colourful salt, the most delicious and well-arranged traditional dish, as well as the most beautifully arranged table and prepared dishes.
Arranged tables with products should show how colourful salt is used as well as local rustic dishes. Each year the participants serve in traditional authentic dishes from the Bulgarian table – clay, wood, and copper. Meals are evaluated by a professional jury. This year, 19 groups from all over the country have also been involved with folk songs and dances.
