From 9th to 11th of September in the village of Kurtovo Konare, Plovdiv will be held again the Festival of peppers and „lyutenitsa” /typical Bulgarian chutney/. During the fest you can taste local traditional food and vegetables. And to buy typical souvenirs from the region.

The festival begins on 9th of September with the opening of a workshop for artists. The sales and demonstration of skills continue throughout the day. From 02:00 p.m. you will have the opportunity to visit the royal palace Krichim. The interior of the building is preserved as it appeared at the time it was owned by the Bulgarian rulers – tzar Ferdinand and tzar Boris III.

Between 04:00 p.m. and 05:00 p.m. you can visit more recent past – the socialist era of Bulgaria. You will hear memories comfortably seated in a house decorated as a part of that time period. You can attend also the opening of the exhibitions in the library of Kurtovo Konare. At 06:00 p.m. you can enjoy jazz – ethno-rock concert featuring Vasil Georgiev /Vasko Krupkata/. The party continues until there are willing to engage in it.

On 10th of September you will be able to try and buy again local food and vegetable, to participate in discussions, to you will learn how to make „lyutenitsa” and tomato soup. Then will be selected the best masters of the „lyutenitsa” competition “Queen of the lyutenitsa”. After that you can taste local specialties and to enjoy folk performances.There will be also children’s workshop.

On 11th of September for the children will be provided games and competitions. You can see the pictures from the photograph workshop or to watch a documentaries.
