The Wild Flower Festival will be held once again in the Rhodope villages near Smolyan from June 22 to June 28. According to the legends on the full of orchids of the magical mountain, sometimes wandered fairies. Just on the feast of the Enyovden on June 24, according to popular beliefs, the herbs have biggest healing power. The beginning of the holiday will be given in the village of Kiselchovo on the 22nd with collecting herbs and information about their usefulness and strength.

On the 23rd in the village of Mogilitsa from 10 a.m. To 4 p.m. there will be a workshop on wool dyeing with natural dyes, as well as making flowers of yarn and paper. From 4 p.m. on the same day in the village of Arda, you can enjoy homemade cakes and syrups. At 7 p.m. in the village of Gorna Arda, only women can go to the reception of Enyovden. The organizers recommend participating ladies to be dressed with long white shirts. From 07 30 p.m. in the village of Smilyan you can enjoy a festive concert.

At the dawn of the 24th, the Midsummer Mysteries continue with rituals of health and prosperity, and participants are also advised to be dressefd with long white shirts. At 10 a.m., the bazaar of herbs and tasting local specialties begins. From 10 a.m. To 5 p.m. in the village of Smilyan will take place a folklore fair in which the participants will be singing and performing typical Bulgarian dances.

From 8 a.m. in the village of Smilyan will start botanical and photo-tour. The participants will walk 3 kilometers to the protected area of ​​Livadite above the village of Sivino. In order to join the tour you have to reserve it advance and pay a 5 leva or approximately 2,5 euro fee. Returning back is at about 4 p.m. At 10 a.m. in Smilyan, children will be able to learn to paint on stone and asphalt. And they will have the chance to participate in the forgotten games of their grandparents. At 4 p.m. parents will be able to read the tales of flowers for their heirs.

On June 26 at 10 a.m. is the start of the botanical tour of the Canyon of the Autumn River. The start is at the gazebo for the Garta dere route, and the entry fee is 20 leva per person /approximately 10 euro/, which includes driver, insurance and equipment. During the festival you can take part in additional events. From 23rd to 25th in the village of Gorna Arda you can experience Enyovden in the Rhodopes. From the 23rd to the 28th you can visit an exhibition of flowers and dyes in the traditional Rhodope fabrics in the village of Mogilitsa. At the 24th from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. you can visit the exposition of flowers and herbs at the Stoyu Shishkov Regional History Museum in Smolyan. Enthusiasts can also take part in the cycle tours of the Springs of Arda from June 30 to July 2.
