New direct lines have begun from Sofia Airport to Europe with the new seasonal summer timetable. Three times a week we will fly between the native capital and Slovenia’s Ljubljana. The flights will be operated on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday by the Adria Airways carrier. We will be able to travel to the Greek capital Athens with the low-cost Wizz Air daily.

On Monday and Friday from Sofia, we will be able to fly to a new destination – the French resort of Nice. Starting March 27, Wizz Air operates regular flights to the Portuguese capital Lisbon and to the heart of Andalusia – Malaga. To both destinations, the flights are every Tuesday and Saturday. New direct flights depart three times a week to the Cypriot city of Paphos.

The growth of charter flights in the summer season is expected from Sofia Airport. More such courses are scheduled in the new season schedule to Turkey, Egypt, Italy, Morocco, Greece, and Tunisia. The largest number of charters will fly in the periods from May to June and September to October, which is determined by the climate destinations targeted by traffic. Compared to the previous summer, charter flights will increase by 47% in total and the number of departing passengers double to 40,000.
