The low-cost air carrier Wizz Air has received permission from the Bulgarian government to operate a line from Sofia to the Russian city of St. Petersburg. The permit is valid until January 1, 2025, it became clear after a meeting of the Council of Ministers.
The flights will start on June 2, 2020. The planes will fly between the Bulgarian capital and the Russian city three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. A return ticket in June for the route can be found for a price of 215 euros, according to a reference on the company’s website. In July, there are offers for a return ticket at prices of 74 euros.
