From the 1st to the 5th of September in the seaside resort of Albena will take place the third international festival of amateur folklore  “Na megdana v Albena” /On the square in Albena/. The opening of the performance will be at 7 p.m. After that, the evening will continue with the Bulgarian folklore program.

On September 2 at 6.30 p.m., the festival participants will make a gorge in the resort and then continue the race with each other. The official closure will be at 07.30 p.m. on September 5th. The festival will end with a solemn dinner, dancing, and lots of surprises for all contestants.

In the competition for the best performance of the traditions can be included singing groups, dancing ensembles, individual performers and vocal groups. The duration of performances, depending on which of these groups fall between 6 and 15 minutes. There is no age limitation for performers.

The condition for participation in “Na megdana v Albena” is the participants to be amateurs. The festival is free of charge for both participants and the audience. The organizers have also prepared a special surprise for the audience at the festival. It will be attended by the folk singer Ivelina Koleva, who is the sister of the folk star Preslava. With her on stage will appear also Zdravko Mandadjiev.
