“Fraport Twin Star Airport Management”, the operator of airports in Varna and Burgas won the prestigious award of the German economy in Bulgaria in the category of “Large enterprise”. The honorary statuette was given to Ulrich Heppe – CEO of the company during the official award ceremony in Sofia.
In 2016 Fraport Twin Star reported historical growth in passengers served – 22%, explained Heppe. He added that this good result shows that Bulgaria is a very beautiful country and attracts many tourists and is as well a wonderful place you can do successful business.
In 2016, the company Fraport Twin Star has invested over 12 million leva or approximately 6 million euro in the two airports in Burgas and Varna. The company reported 38% growth in the serviced passengers from Germany to both the airport. Over the past 10 years, “Fraport Twin Star Airport Management” AD has invested in the development of the two airports in Varna and Burgas more than 350 million leva or approximately 175 milliomn euro.
