Three zones with free internet will work this winter in the Pamporovo-Mechi Chal combined ski area. Skiers and snowboarders will be able to take advantage of it on a plateau in Studenets, Snezhanka Peak, and Mechi Chal Peak. Besides free internet in the three zones, tourists will be able to charge their devices at the set charging stations. These are just some of the latest news about the season in the resort.
In Pamporovo during this winter skiers will be able to run on 2-3 old tracks, which have not worked for many years, but after securing and shaping are suitable for lovers of winter sports. The artificial snow system in the resort is similar and nearly 300 cannons ensure the tracks are always in good condition. The resort has invested in three modern snowmobiles..
Over the next weekend, almost 100 percent of the ski runs in the resort will work and will be prepared for riding, promised the Executive Director of Pamporovo AD Marian Belyakov. The price of ski maps for the two ski areas Pamporovo and Mechi Chal and this winter will be 55 leva per day /approximately 27 Euro/, and from this season will be offered family lift cards with discounts between 7 and 12 percent. Shuttle buses will once again transport free tourists between the two ski areas within 10 minutes.
A world skiing championship for journalists will be held at the end of February and the beginning of March in the resort. More than 170 players, 35 countries will compete in three categories – giant slalom, cross-country skiing and parallel slalom. In addition, the participants will visit the future European Capital of Culture for 2019 Plovdiv and will participate in the traditional downhill with Bulgarian folk costumes on the national holiday March 3 in Pamporovo.
