For free, you can get your first ski and snowboard lessons in Borovets on January 19th. Then in the oldest Bulgarian ski resort for the eighth consecutive year will mark the World Snow Day. Free group lessons with Borosport teachers are starting at 10 am, 11 am, 1 pm and 2 pm. To take part in them you need to write in advance by calling +359 882 19 68 48 or by e-mail at ski_school@borovets-bg.com.
For the youngest of the holiday, free activities and games are also provided in the Borokids Snow Park between 9 am and 4 pm. Throughout the day, the daily cards for children under the age of 13 will be at the symbolic price of BGN 1. In Borovets between 10 am and 2 pms there will be a party with DJ Martin. Between 11 am and 12 o’clock, rescuers from the Mountain Rescue Service will demonstrate to the guests in Borovets safety techniques in the mountain.
Between 11 am and 12 o’clock, anyone wishing to experience the thrill of slalom competitions will be able to descend the specially prepared route to the Borosport course in front of the Rila Hotel. Immediately thereafter, at 12 o’clock, the Bulgarian skier legend Petar Popangelov will give valuable advice and will take pictures of the young hopes of Bulgarian winter sports.
Between 11 am and 1 pm, you can also try your luck in search of treasures. Hunting for buried awards is organized by the Bulgarian Association of skiing free and extreme style. They will also show how people with a special avalanche are being discovered.
