Children’s Day June 1 is among the most celebrated holidays of both small and large. That is why the kids on this day will enjoy special attention. Almost every city has various entertainment, games, and surprises for young and grown-up kids. In Bulgaria, the holiday is celebrated for the first time in the distant 1949.
In Bansko, the children’s holiday will last for three days. The beginning will be given at 9:30 a.m. in the kindergartens of the mountain resort and in Dobrinishte. Small fishermen can figure out who will catch the biggest catch at 10 a.m. at the Belizma Dam. During the day, all the museums in the city will work free for the children.
The Visitor Information Center will feature free films from 03:30 p.m. to 07:00 p.m.
On June 2, the fun for the children will continue to the city park. In there small artists will learn to paint on a stone. A children’s mountain bike race will be held on June 3rd. The start of the race is at 10 a.m. in the city park.
In Varna, the kids will have the chance to have fun on the ice rink, as well as at other sports facilities. In some schools, open basketball lessons will be held by Sasha Topchov and Ventsi Gechev, soccer lessons with Petar Krastev and table tennis lessons with coach Alexander Savov. At 9:30 a.m. at the Children’s Corner of the Sea Garden, a children’s drawing contest “Draw Your European Home” for children under 12 will be held and the winner will receive a tablet.
Everyone will be able to visit the Varna Zoo for free and enjoy a festive concert in it from 10 a.m. The party will feature ballet “Melody”, “Rhythm” folk ensemble, Dance Star rock club and vocal group “Merry crickets”. From 10:30 a.m. at the Slaveykov Lyceum in Vladislavovo will start ice cream party with a puppet theater. At the same time, at Fulmax Shopping Center starts a Sports Day for Children of All Ages.
Different games are planned, such as jumping with sacks, pulling rope, and much more surprises and rewards for children. At 11 a.m. on stage “Rakovina” will start a fun show with the participation of the “Trick – Trak” theater troupe. During the holiday, fabulous characters will come to life, and children will participate in various games.
The festival in Plovdiv will start at 10:30 a.m. in the town square in front of the municipality, showing young talents. At 4 p.m. is the beginning of the Children’s Festival “Talentino – Entertainment and Performance”, where children will be able to taste different treats, get colorful balloons and jump into an inflatable castle. About 6 p.m. in the square will sing and dance different performers for the audience. At 07:30 p.m., the winner of the charitable raffle will be retrieved, and the children will be able to taste a huge and delicious cake.
Traditionally, in Sofia, on June 1, the park in front of the National Theater “Ivan Vazov” will host a Children’s Fair where young people can get new knowledge and have fun in the 60 different workshops. Naturally, the visit is free of charge and the parade will last all day from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. At the Geo Milev park, the whole day will celebrate June 1st with children’s talk, yoga lessons, workshops, lectures, silent games, music, and fun. In the Boris garden, children can participate in children’s karaoke, different workshops, games and even win a lottery prize.
Children can ride a horse for the first time on June 1 at Sparata Horse Riding. The festive program, however, costs 30 leva or approximately 15 euro, and the child must be accompanied to ride a horse and join the fun games. Free lessons, concerts, and stacks of games await the kids in the South Park, Zaimov Park and many areas of the capital.
The children in Stara Zagora will also enjoy many games, fun, and surprises on the day of the children. Children’s Holiday “Countless and One Desire” will begin on October 5th at 10.00 a.m. and will continue until 1 p.m.Talented children will be performing on the stage, and in parallel will go outdoor studios for young archaeologists, painting, Wool, jewelry, yoga, karaoke and foreign language lessons. Babies will also be able to enter the role of real firefighters.
