Various events will mark the feast of the herbs Enyovden in Etar Architectural and Ethnographic Complex near Gabrovo. Amongst the most attractive is a racing with water yokes, which will take place on 23 June at 1 pm. For the fastest and most skilful participants, prizes are provided. In fact, the holiday will begin a day earlier with a discussion on the natural food.

At 11 am on June 23, visitors to the complex will enjoy a folklore program. The ensemble “Shevitsa” from Sofia, Gabrovche dancers and the students of Yavor kindergarten will take part in it. At the same time will be open to guests the bazaar with demonstrations and tastings of traditional foods and dishes.

At 11 am, the workshop for making Enyovden wreaths will open. Throughout the day you can buy different herbs and products from the healing plants. On the 23rd you will be able to observe and how to build a three-dimensional herb garden. Between 12 o’clock and 6 pm, screenings of environmental topics are scheduled. And at 3 pm Daniela Zaracinova from the For The Earth Association will tell visitors how to leave no waste behind them.

Between 10 am and 3 pm on June 23 and 24, children can learn the secrets of the decoupage in the specialized workshop. Visitors will also be able to see the inscriptions “The Thracian World” and “Agro-Cultural Attitudes and Practices”. On June 24, you will again be able to visit the bazaar of herbs or join the discussion called “The Soul of Plants”. At 1 pm you can listen to Bulgarian folk music in performances of the group “Soulfia”.
