You still have a chance to join the second day of the program at the National Medieval Festival “The Magical Madara” on June 24th. The festival is held near the included in the list of UNESCO World Heritage Madara Rider. There you will be able to familiarize yourself with the traditions, customs and the arms of the old Bulgarians and their eternal enemies from Byzantium.
Additionally, if you join the event, you will have the chance to shoot a bow at a target, learn more about the medieval weapons, try your horseback riding skills, and taste past-time meals. Guests will also be able to see different crafts such as pottery, coin cutting, metal plastics, armour and helmet making, woodworking.
Between 10 am and 1 pm on June 24, you can enjoy demonstrations by the participants. At 10.30 am, medieval rituals related to the day of herbs Enyovden will be presented. At 11 am there will be duels, battles and demonstrations of weapons, and half an hour later you can give your children a free archery lesson. The meeting will be closed at 1 pm.
