In Karlovo celebrate the 180th anniversary of the birth of Levski

180th anniversary of the birth of the Bulgarian national hero Vasil Levski will be celebrated in Karlovo on 18 July. The festive events began at the beginning of the month. On July 16th, at 02.30 p.m. will start the bicycle race for the Vasil Levski Cup. On 17th of July at 11 a.m. in Vassil Karaivanov Hall will be validated a postage stamp on the occasion of the anniversary.

At 07.30 p.m., awards will be officially presented on the occasion of the celebration of the town of Karlovo, which coincides with the birthday of the revolutionary and is chosen in honor of the hero. The summons of  20 July 20 square will be followed by a holiday concert of Bulgare Ensemble.

From 9 a.m.  July 18th, a solemn world Liturgy will be served at the St. Nicolas Church, followed by the flower procession to the grave of the mother of the hero Gina Kuncheva and a lithium procession. At 11.15 a.m. is the start of the literary and musical program at the National Museum “Vassil Levski”, and at  4 p.m. begins a literary salon in the “Vasil Karaivanov” Hall.

Also at 4 p.m. on the 20th July Square is the start of a concert of the Amateur Groups of the Union of Officers and Sergeants from the reserve. The premiere of “The Interrogation ” with the participation of Vesselin Plachkov and Hristo Mutafchiev will take place at 6 p.m. in the Community Center Vassil Levski. The flag of the Karlovyian Revolutionary Committee will be brought out at Vasil Levski’s Museum at 08.20 p.m., and at the Vasil Levski Square, the solemn rally will be held at 9 p.m.
