Golden potato as a prize will receive this year the one who has contributed most to the organization of the Potato Festival in Klissura. This year it will take place on October 14th. Anyone who visits the festival will be able to take pictures of potatoes with the most bizarre fat the specialized traditional potato exhibition. In addition, a number of competitions are held during the festival.

Regional producers and culinary masters will compete in the race for the smallest and largest potato. As well as the most deliciously prepared one from this year’s harvest. A prize for a literary work devoted to vegetables is awarded. Exhibitions of potatoes, dishes, and souvenirs from them will include producers from all over the country.

The celebrations continue with concerts and folk celebrations on the square in Klissura. Local people do not fail to point out that the most delicious potatoes grow in their area. And the fact that the only potato museum is also located in Klissura. Its beginning was put in 1986 in the Chervenakova house by the lawyer Ivan Shabanov. The largest attraction in the collection is potatoes of impressive size.
