On September 25, Dobrich is celebrating its city holiday. The date is not chosen by accident. In September 1940, with the Krayov Agreement, Southern Dobrudja, including Dobrich, joined Bulgaria. 50 years later, the name of the city was changed from Tolbuhin to Dobrich, and the holiday is celebrated ever since. This year residents and guests of the city will be able to enjoy the performances of the hitmaker Krisko. In addition to the famous rapper at 07.30 pm at Svoboda Square, you can also enjoy local talents – singers and dancers.
Throughout the day of September 25th, the museums and the galleries in Dobrich will work completely free of charge. From 10 am to 6 pm at the Svoboda Square will be held a festive farm market. The day will begin with a military ritual and memorial service for the died fighting for the freedom of the South Dobrudja in the Military Cemetery.
At 11.30 am at the Art Gallery in the city will be opened a guest exhibition of Nikola Kozhuharov. Folk music fans and dancers will be able to enjoy the performances of professional folklore ensemble “Dobrudja” during the festive concert “Folklore Magic”. At 4 pm in “St. George” Town Park starts the concert “I Love You Dobrich” with patriotic and old town songs. The Arabesque Ballet has also provided a surprise for the residents and guests of the city – a gala evening with selected plays from the jubilee season of the Nestinarka show on the music of Marin Goleminov.
