Laser show and concert of BTR for the feast of Asenovgrad

On 28th of May, Asenovgrad celebrates its holiday. The undisputed peak of the celebrations will be the laser show and the colorful fireworks that will end the celebration at about 10 p.m. The show in the sky will be preceded by a concert of the rock band BTR, which starts at 08:30 p.m. in the “Academician Nikolay Haytov“ Square.

But the city’s festivities will begin early in the morning. At 9 a.m., a solemn liturgy for the prosperity of the town will be served in the temple “St. Nicholas”, and an hour later will be awarded declared new honorary citizens of Asenovgrad. At 10:30 a.m. the festive procession will take place at the Assenovgrad fortress and flowers will be served in front of the monument of the great Bulgarian ruler Tsar Ivan Asen II.

In the town park, starting 11 a.m., a traditional craftsmanship begins, where you can sample a variety of local specialties. The audience will rejoice the Representative Wind Orchestra of the Air Force – Plovdiv, the singers Petya Bouyuklieva, professional and amateur folk dance groups. Small and large can dive into the world of magic from 04:30 p.m.

Football fans can also leap to the city stadium for the meeting of veterans from FC Levski and FC Assenovets. From 06:30 p.m. the party is transported to “Academician Nikolay Haytov“ Square with a festive concert by the folk singer Iva Davidova, a dance formation, a drumstick show and a surprise from dance group “Kosara”. The good mood of the guests at the end of the day will be in the hands of the BTR. And for the final are the impressive firework.
