A light show will illuminate Blagoevgrad in the Easter night. Laser beams will announce the onset of the festival for the second consecutive year. The show is organized by the municipality. Special equipment will be installed at the memorial complex “Memory and faith.” There is located the 33-meter cross, which became a symbol of Blagoevgrad.
The mystical lights that will spark Christianity again will be combined with the sound of the Holy Mass held in the Blagoevgrad’s Church “Blessed Virgin”. The unique show will begin at midnight on April 15, immediately after the first “Christ is Risen”. The beautiful artwork can be viewed from anywhere in the city.
This year Easter in Bulgaria won’t be celebrated with fireworks. Only the church bells will announce the beginning of the holiday. At midnight the Bulgarian Patriarch Neophyte will greet the faithful in front of the temple-monument “Alexander Nevski” in Sofia. 15 minutes earlier is expected to arrive in Bulgaria the Holy Fire from the Holy Sepulcher in Jerusalem.
