An attractive exhibition in Burgas will show the luxury in which lived the wealthy Bulgarians in the 19th century. The exhibition will be opened on February 17 at 18 o’clock in the Cultural Center “Sea Casino”. Among the exhibits are candlesticks, furniture, gold and bronze figurines, and vessels. The collection is owned by the Regional Historical Museum in Burgas.
The items were seized when trying to illegal trafficking. The so-called “French Collection” includes 13 clocks, 32 vases and 11 candleholders, lampshades, chandeliers, silver trays, silver service for liquor, rackets, and part of the boudoir. This collection it is dated from the late 18th and 19th century.
The so-called “Romanian Collection” contains paintings, mirrors. The exhibited pieces were produced in the studios of the Austro-Hungarian Empire and Italy and were part of the interior of European homes from the early 20th century. The objects in the exhibition are shown for the first time in public.
