You can learn completely free how to make traditional Bulgarian lace, embroidery, beaded bracelets and knitted belts from native masters from May 23 to May 31 at the Palace in Balchik. There are also training sessions for those who want to learn these skills. A special exhibition of lace and embroideries, which can be visited during this period, will be presented to the lovers of the magic of Bulgarian artists.
The event is organized by the management of the Palace and the informal group for making lace and embroidery “SedyankaTa“, founded by Bistra Pisancheva, Stanka Bozhinova and Svetlomira Ivanova in Sofia. The exhibition will be open at 4 p.m. on May 23.
For the youngest, there are two practical workshops. Children between 10 and 15 years of age will be able to produce dolls of their own, and those of 6 to 10 years old – to make a knitted bracelet under the expert guidance of the masters.
