Medieval battles, rebuilding slaves, presenting ceramics through the ages. These are just some of the events during the “Remember the Glory” festival in the fortress of Tuida near Sliven, which will be held on October 20th and 21st. The event is a reference to the autumn celebration that the Bulgarians held on the day of St. Dimitar.
The official opening of the festival will be at 11 am on Saturday. Visitors’ entrance is free. An hour later you can enjoy the skills of the event participants – archery and other horse riding weapons. A demonstration of a medieval battle will also be made.
Later in the day you can see the rebuilding of an antique slave market, as well as familiarizing yourself with typical life and life in the Middle Ages. Ceramics will be presented through the ages. Young people and children will be able to learn how to handle a shield and a sword. On the second day of the festival, the restorations and the lessons will continue.
