Meet the jazz elite in Varna

To meet the world jazz elite you have simply to visit Varna between 28th and 31st of for the 25th edition of the Festival ” Varna Summer” . In it will take part musicians from Bulgaria, Russia, Austria , Germany, Ukraine , France, Poland and Norway. There is also a stage for young talents. The festival this year will be opened by a local group from Varna. On 28th July at 08:30 p.m. will be performing the band Acoustic along with the Art Ensemble from Arkhangelsk, Russia. The festival this year will be held again in the courtyard of the Archaeological Museum in Varna .

On the second day guests will enjoy the Ukrainian saxophonist Andrey Prozorov , who already has been a part of the festival 2 times in the previous editions  with various projects. Now he will play as a part of a trio  together with Christian Bakanik – accordion and Walter Singer – bass . The program on July 29 will end with a quartet assembled by the Bulgarian saxophonist Vladimir Karparov who lives in Berlin. The band includes the Bulgarians Vasil Spasov – piano, Stoyan Yankulov – Stundji – drums and Radoslav Slavchev – bass guitar.

On July 30 will perform Tamara Lukasheva and Matthias Shrifal from Ukraine and Germany, and George Kornazov Project from France and Bulgaria. On the last day the audience will enjoy the performance of the Bulgarian trio ” Acoustic Version “with Antoni Donchev, Hristo Yotzov and Georgi Donchev. The festival will end with the participation of a megastar from Poland – the violinist Adam Baldo , who will perform with a trio from Norway.

25th edition of the Jazz Festival “Varna Summer” is supported by the Municipality of Varna and is organised by  Varna the jazz society.
