A new passenger terminal opened in Burgas
The new passenger terminal at Burgas airport has been completed and will be officially opened today, December 4, 2013.
31 counters have been placed on an area of 21,000 sq. m. One of them is KITT’s. The capacity of the terminal is almost 2 500 passengers at peak hours; 1250 arriving and 1250 departing travelers can be served.
The overall investment is worth BGN 80 million. The terminal is equipped with a modern management line for the passengers and baggage processing systems. There are shopping areas, restaurants and shops.
After its official opening, the airport will carry out a Doors Open Day. On December 5, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. everyone will be welcome to visit and take a look at the terminal.
So far, the number of the passengers served at Burgas airport has reached nearly 2.5 million. The annual registered growth is 4.5%, as compared to last year. The majority of the travelers are Russians, but there is also an increase in the registered number of British Ukrainian and Belarusian passengers.
