This year, on March 24th, you can show your commitment to the future and the planet’s conservation by joining a night climb of Cherni Vrah. The idea of subjugating the top with lighted headlines will be part of the Bulgarian Earth’s Hour celebration, in which people from all over the world stop the electricity in their homes to give a breath of air to the planet.
Climbing the summit in the Vitosha Mountain near Sofia will begin at 8 p.m. from Aleko hut and the departure back from Cherni Vrah is scheduled for 09.30 p.m. The fans of winter sports will have the opportunity to make an exciting downhill, again in headlights on the slopes of Vitosha Mountain.
In addition to the powerful lanterns on their heads, the participants who will join the initiative should have time-outs dressed, have charged mobile phones and a good mood, the WWF organizers advise. They advise those involved in the event to share their cars with other enthusiasts on their way to Aleko hut to get the most out of carbon emissions for the purpose of the trip.
