The tickets for the “Opera of the Peaks” festival, which will take place in Belogradchik and the Magura Cave in July and August, are now available for sale. Tickets are sold at the Sofia Opera and Ballet Cashier, at the Tourist Information Center in Belogradchik and in Mall Vidin. The price of the opera tickets varies between 30 and 80 leva /between 15 and 40 euro/, and the entrance to the show in the Magura cave costs 80 leva /approximately 40 euro/ with wine tasting included.
All opera performances start at 8 p.m. The festival will be opened with the Nabucco opera by Giuseppe Verdi on July 21st. A second performance of the same opera is scheduled for July 27th. Lakme of Leo Delib will be presented to the magical Belogradchik rocks on July 22 and 30. Giacomo Puccini’s Tosca Opera will have a single performance on July 23rd.
Only once will the audience have the chance to see this year at Gioachino Rossini’s Cinderella Opera on July 28 and Madame Butterfly of Giacomo Puccini on July 29th. The ballet shows will also start at 8 p.m. The “Zorba Greek” by Mikis Theodorakis has two representations – on August 3 and 6. On the 4th of August, the viewers can enjoy the ballet “Carmen- rhapsody in blue” and on 5th of August – Don Quixote.
The magical spectacle “Wagner Magura – gods, giants, dwarves, rollers” will be presented seven times. The start time of the cave festival impression in three parts is 11 a.m. The dates you can enjoy the spectacle are 21,22,23, 27,28,29 and 30 July in the Magura Cave, famous for its prehistoric drawings.
