The fans of opera and ballet can enjoy performances in the open air during the 7th edition of Bansko Opera Fest. On 25th, 26th and 27th of August in the main square of the town will be presented three world classics under the stars. You can enjoy the performances on the central square in Bansko “Nikola Vaptsarov”. The admission is free.
Traditionally, the festival will open with ballet. The visitors will enjoy “Romeo and Juliet” and “Flight to light” performed by soloists and corps de ballet of the State Opera – Rousse. The stars of the show are Vessela Vassileva and Stoyan Fartunov.
On the second night State Opera – Rousee will present a opera in one act – “Cavalleria Rusticana” by Pietro Mascagni. You can enjoy the voices of Andrey Nikolov, Alexander Krunev and Peter Kostov. The Conductor is Nayden Todorov.
In the seventh edition of Bansko Opera Festival, the audience will enjoy for the first time a musical. The last night of the festival Varna Opera Theatre will present the musical of the legendary Andrew Lloyd Webber’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.” Performers include Bogomil Spirov, Ina Petrova and Plamen Georgiev. The message of the famous composer in the musical is for the young people – to fight for their longings and dreams. And to forgive the mistakes because it is the best way to be happy. The conductor is Stratsimir Popov.
