Pamporovo will host the Balkan Mountain Bike Cup for 2013
Bike Park Pamporovo, from September 12 to September 15, will welcome one of the biggest international mountain bike championships in Bulgaria – the Balkan Bike Cup 2013. For the first time the competition is recognized by the Balkan Cycling Federation and is included in the calendar of the International Cycling Union (UCI). In this championship the new mountain bike champions of the Balkans will be announced. The winners in the downhill and cross country disciplines will get points for the world ranking list.
The Balkan Bike Cup 2013 contest will be very much different from the previous two, held in June and July, 2013. The trail of the Balkan Mountain Bike Cup has a brand new course part and a total length of 2,800 m. It is covered with all kinds of obstacles, from stones and roots to jumps, kickers and wooden features. The trail passes through rugged terrains: downhill, flat sections and climbs.
In Balkan Bike Cup 2013 are expected to take part around 150 competitors for whom there are various attractive prizes. In October 2013 Pamporovo Bike Park will also host the largest cycling championship in Bulgaria – the European Championship in the disciplines Downhill and Four Cross.
