25 favorite Macedonian songs will be featured during the anniversary quarter of the Pirin Folk Festival. The event will be held from 25th to 27th August at the Summer Theater in Sandanski. The start of each program starts at 08.30 p.m. Selected emblematic song from the history of the event have been awarded or are still in the heart of the audience will be performed. On 25th of August, guest performers will be Volodya Stoyanov – Vojvoda, Radostina Panjova, Vasko Lazarov, Alicia, Ilian Mihov-Barovitsa, Lili Tzvetkova.
The concert evening on August 26 will return to the stage with performances Sashka Vaseva, Georgi Gotsev, Bobby Bakalov, Guna Ivanova, Ivan Gotsev. At the Gala Evening with its iconic songs, the audience will enjoy Sevdalina and Valentin Spasovi, Ilia Lukov, Rumyana Popova, Leia, Tsvetelina, Blagica Pavlovska. For the first time in Sandanski will be held a competition for small performers – Children’s Pirin Folk. Hosts of the festival will be Nikolay Nikolov and Daniela Koleva.
Besides many Macedonian songs, Pirin Folk will also offer a rich dance program. During the three festival evenings, over 100 dancers will perform. You can enjoy the performances of Chinari Ensemble, Gaitan Ensemble, Ritmika Dance Club Blagoevgrad, Kitka Sharena Ensemble, Municipal Dance Festival Makedontsi Folklore Dance Schools and Folk Dance Schools.
The selection of the competition songs is also very strong, the organizers are convinced. For prizes with original songs will compete Ilian Mihov – Barevitsa, Svetla Dukateva, Vili Rai, Vasko Lazarov, Dafina Dimitrova and Petko Zahariev, Ivaylo Gerasimov, Iva and Velislava Kostadinovi, Blagoia Gruevski, Iva Davidova, duet Pirin, Vladislav Valev, Biliana and Hristo Kosashki, Denia Pencheva, Teodora Jakovlevska, Vassil Valkanov, Kamelia Vancheva and Petar Nechovski. The interest in the festival filled the hotels in Sandanski. One of the most favorite places for the tourists to stay is one of the best hotels in Bulgaria – the five-star Park Hotel Pirin in Sandanski.
