The city of Plovdiv was awared a prize from the European Festival of Tourism and Strategy. It was held in Dubrovnikq Croatia April 27-30. The recognition for the Bulgarian city is for the active work of the Municipality to make all the historic monuments in the Plovdiv more atractive. Among them are The Roman theater,the Roman Stadium, the Early Christian Basilica, The Episcopal basilica , Tsar Simeon’s Garden. The prize was also a recognition from the jury for the European capital of culture in 2019. The other prizes from the Festival went to Chisinau (Moldova) for best printed touristic material,to Kotor (Montenegro) for best tuoristic video, to Ouistreham Riva-Bella (France) for best digital campaign, to Zagreb for best organised event, to Le Touquet (France) for best branded and designed products and to Nimes (France) for best use of historical heritage for the future of tourism.
