From February 2nd to February 7th, the giant mummer’s masks from the Kukerlandia festival in Yambol will tour the country. The traveling exhibition, which caused a huge interest last year, will visit Plovdiv, Stara Zagora, Haskovo, Burgas, and Sliven. The giant mummer’s masks are one of the favorite attractions of the fest Kukerlandia in Yambol.
Since 2011, the collection of huge masks has been enriched with new facilities. The installations present in a stylized form typical of the region masks and each year participate in the carnival procession, which is the beginning of the festival.
At the 19th consecutive edition of Kukerlandia, the exhibition “Alley of the Giant Masks” will be completed with three new horrors. Author of the projects is the designer and artist of the Regional History Museum Tanya Kosseva. The International Masquerade Festival “Kukerland – Yambol 2018” this year will be held from 22 to 25 February.
